Behind two solid performances against the best team of the SIAC, Torri Myers of the women's basketball team is the Wildcats Female Athlete of the Week for Feb. 3-9. In the two games, Myers averaged 14.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, two blocks and an assist per game in the back-to-back games vs. Benedict. When the Wildcats upset No. 11 Benedict (63-60), Myers produced a 16-point effort, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and a blocked shot effort -- in the game, she gave the Wildcats a 16-14 led at the end of the 1Q and would not trail again, her layup with 8:30 gave FVSU the lead back 47-45 and then her two free throws with 31 seconds were the game-winning points -- in the 4Q, Myers had 6 pts, 3 rebounds and a blocked shot.
