FORT VALLEY, GA (October 20, 2014) – Senior Linebacker LeRon Furr for the Wildcats has been selected SIAC Defensive Player of the Week for week seven, respectively. After his impressive performance this past weekend’s win over the Saints of Limestone College 24-19. It is the first honor of the season for Furr and the fourth honor for the Wildcats football team.
Furr, a native of Columbus, GA (Oklahoma State) had an outstanding game as he help lead FVSU over the Saints. He had 12 tackles (2 solo), 1.5 tackles-for-loss, one interception, one pass break-up and a quarter back hurry. Furr’s leadership helped the defense hold Limestone to 60 yards on the ground.
