FORT VALLEY, GA (October 27, 2014) – Senior Linebacker LeRon Furr for the Wildcats has been selected for the second week in a row as SIAC Defensive Player of the Week for week eight, respectively. After his impressive performance in this weekend’s win over the Lions of Paine College 23-10. It is the second honor of the season for Furr and the six honor for the Wildcats football team.
Furr, a native of Columbus, GA (Oklahoma State) had another outstanding game for the Wildcats as he led FVSU to victory over the Lions. Furr collected 14 tackles (9 solo), 3.5 tackles-for-loss for 14-yards, and one quarter back hurry.
