After making his presence felt in last Saturday night's win, football's Kamari Blankumsee is the Wildcat Nation Men's Athlete of the Week for Sept. 25-30.

With the Wildcats freshly off a 14-0 lead midway through the opening quarter, the freshman defender picked off the Allen quarterback pass and returned it 16 yards for the touchdown on the next drive's first play to make it 21-0 FVSU with only eight minutes gone in the contest. Blankumsee added a second interception in the second quarter to stop another Yellow Jackets' drive. For the night, the Quitman, Ga., native added four tackles for loss to go with the two interceptions.
