Fort Valley State University Wildcats freshman wide receiver Drelon Freeman has been selected in week ten of the season as SIAC Newcomer of the Week , respectively. It is the second honor of the season for Freeman, with the first being week two and the eight honor for the Wildcats football team.
  
Freeman, a native of Columbus, GA (Carver High School) led all receivers in the Fountain City Classic game with 9 catches for 171-yards and 2 touchdowns. He also returned 5 kickoffs for 57-yards for 229 all-purpose yards.
