Fort Valley State University (FVSU) freshman quarterback Cameron Pearson has been selected as this week's Offensive Player of the Week by the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC).  Despite last Saturday's 58-30 loss to FCS opponent Bethune-Cookman College, the rookie signal caller posted his best performance thus far as a Wildcat. 

The Dallas, Texas native completed 16 of 29 passes for a season-high 321 yards.  He also threw four touchdown passes of 14, 21, 12, and 39 yards. 

“Given where we are at this point in the season, it's difficult to really enjoy the recognition, said Pearson.  I do want to thank my teammates though for the support. While we were not successful in the game, the guys on both sides of the ball gave their all.
