Wildcats (3-3) basketball team was led by senior forward Brandon
Davey (Warner Robins, GA) with a game-high 27 points in the
second game victory over Talladega College (6-3) by a score
of 94-55 on Saturday, November 23 in the Paine College HBCU
Classic in Augusta, GA.
FVSU gained their largest lead of 47 points with 3:45 remaining
in the game, as they shot 46.4% (39-84) from the field, 66.7% (8-12)
at the foul line and hitting 8-of-29 threes. Talladega hit 30.0% (21-70)
in shooting, 54.5% (6-11) in free throws and 20.6% in 3-pointers.
The Wildcats outscored Talladega in the paint 52-to-18 in points,
17-to-14 points off turnovers, 24-to-3 points off second chance shots,
12-to-2 on fast breaks and 42-to-0 points from bench players.
Davey hit 10-of-14 shots from the field, 7-of-11 in 3-pointers,
7 rebounds and 2 assist, while senior forward

(Cincinnati, OH) added 20 points and went 4-for-4 at the line.

Nigel Domineck (Stone Mountain, GA) scored a
double-double 16 points and 16 boards, while hitting 7-of-9 shots
and 2-for-2 at the foul line and blocking one shot. Senior points guard
Anthony Bell (Detroit, MI) led both teams with a game-high 9 assist and
grabbing 4 rebounds.
Luis Benitez led Talladega in scoring with 24 points and Jabrowski Floyd
added 11 rebounds.
Next game for the Wildcats is Wednesday, November 27 as they travel to
Jacksonville, AL to play an exhibition game against Jacksonville State University
at 12 noon.
