FORT VALLEY, GA (October 25, 2016) – Fort Valley State Lady Wildcats volleyball team defeated the Lady Lions of Paine College in four sets 3-1 (25-18, 25-13, 18-25, 25-22) Tuesday afternoon at the HPE Complex.
 
Junior outside hitter Maya Stewart led the Wildcats with 16 kills; one ace, five digs, two block assist, and freshman outside hitter India King added 18 kills and one dig. Freshman setter Rita Davis dished out 31 assist, five kills, three aces, three digs, while freshman middle hitter Ashaunti Brown attached five kills and three block assist. Senior setter Raven Conner collected three kills, four digs, one block assist, and junior middle blocker Ayauna Ellis had two kills, along with junior middle blocker Justice Stegall one kill.
 
Caprice Luckett had seven kills for Paine, while adding two digs, one solo block and three block assist. Kayla Lewis had 21 assist.
 
FVSU will host Clark Atlanta University on Wednesday, October 26 at 6 pm.
