The Athletics Department would like to thank all of the alumni fans and friends for their help in raising the needed funds to purchase championship rings for the reigning SIAC Champion Wildcat Football team. When the call went out those loyal Wildcats stepped up and made certain the student athletes who brought home the first football conference championship since 1999 would have something to remind them of their accomplishment for years to come.

Special thanks to Dr. William Pickard and Dr. Thomas Dortch for their generous gift. In addition, the Athletics Director would like to personally thank the Dekalb and Albany Alumni Chapters for getting the ring campaign started as well as providing support that was felt throughout the season. The students on the team heard you and knew you were behind them during the march to the championship.

The rings will be presented to the team at the annual athlete's banquet which will be held on the FVSU campus in the HPE building April 26, 2017. If you are interested in attending, contact the athletics department for tickets.
