FORT VALLEY, GA - The Fort Valley State University men's basketball team is headed to Daytona Beach, FL to play in a non-conference contest with Sunshine State Conference (SSC) foe Embry-Riddle College on Monday, December 18^th at 7 p.m. Monday's meeting with the Eagles marks the first meeting between the two teams.

FVSU (7-5) is enters the matchup having come off a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) 60-53 win over Tuskegee University. Embry-Riddle (5-6) on the other hand has won one out of their last four games. Rudy Bibb-Boyd leads the Eagles with an 18.1 average, while Nashad Mackey is averaging 12.2 rebounds.

Four Wildcats are averaging in double figures starting with Tyler Edwards (15.3), Jaylon McMillan (12.3), Walter Foster (11.0) and James Barnes (10.8) points per game. Foster and Barnes leads the Wildcats in rebounding with 9.5 and 8.8 rebounds per game
