Box Score 2 FORT VALLEY, GA – Fort Valley State's freshman pitcher 
Courtney Walker threw a shutout in game one of a doubleheader sweep over Concordia-Selma College 12-0 and 11-3 Thursday at Wildcat Field.
 
Audrianna Noel went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs while scoring three times on the day. Walker held her own by going 2-for-3 at the plate, knocking in three RBI's and scoring twice. 
Ashley Simmons-Blair had two hits and three RBI's and 
Brianna Jackson walked four times and scored twice.    
 
The Lady Wildcats improve to 2-2 on the season with the two wins over the Lady Hornets.
 
Game one:
 
Walker dominated the Lady Hornets from the first pitch of the game, striking out nine Concordia-Selma players and not allowing a walk. She allowed only two hits in the game while picking up her first win and shutout of the season.
 
First inning, Simmon-Blair, Jackson and Shakerra Geter walked, Walker singled and advanced to second on an error while scoring two runners. Noel's tripled driving in a run. (4-0)
 
Inning two, Simmion-Blair walked then stole second and Walker drove Simmon-Blair in from second with her single. (5-0)
 
Inning three, Noel's singled and advanced to third on an error and later scored on Marlayzha Crutchfield's SAC out to first. (6-0)
Inning four, Jackson walked then stole second and Walker reached first on an error moving Jackson over to third. Keteria Loney singled Jackson home, Noel and Crutchfield each had a single to drive in two more RBI's. Simmon-Blair doubled to score three more runs. (12-0)  
 
Walker (1-2) went five innings for the win while Infiniti Williams got the loss (0-1)  
 
Game two: Walker (2-2) picked up her second win in four-inning while allowing two hits, one earned run and striking out four batters. Terry Sanddifer (0-1) suffered the loss while giving up 11 runs (10 earned). The Lady Hornets combined to give up 17 walks in this game. (11-3)
 
Up Next: The Lady Wildcats to face Wesleyan College on Saturday in a doubleheader at Wildcat Field with the first game scheduled for 1:00 p.m. and the second game to follow at 3:00.
