Full All-Region Teams
PEMBROKE, N.C. –
The Wildcats led the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regional charge. Fort Valley State place the trio of Demetrius Harris, Majeste Hansberry and Emanuel Boone on the Conference Commissioners Association 2019 All-Super Region 2 Football Second Team.

With the three honorees, FVSU had three of the four SIAC selections with Kentucky State running back Brett Sylve being the other. Two Harlon Hill finalists – Valdosta State quarterback Rogan Wells and Lenoir-Rhyne's defensive end Jaquan Artis – were the Offensive Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year for Super Region 2.

The reigning SIAC Defensive Player of the Year and All-SIAC First Team member, Harris led the Wildcats defense this fall. The redshirt junior led NCAA Division II in sacks (1.35 per game) and fifth in tackles for loss (2.0 per game). Harris of Decatur, Ga., finished the year with 43 tackles, 25 solo, to go with his 19.5 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, six forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries, including a touchdown of one against Morehouse College.

After his first season manning the middle of the FVSU linebacker corps, Hansberry adds the All-Region selection to go with All-SIAC First Team. The sophomore from Atlanta was the team's top tackler and ranked fourth in the SIAC at 8.9 tackles per game. On the 10-game season, Hansberry finished with 89 tackles, 32 solo, 7.5 tackles for loss of 21 yards, a sack of eight yards, a fumble recovery and four pass breakups. The linebacker posted four double-digit tackle games with a season-best 15 against SIAC Champion Miles College. He added 13 stops versus Shorter, while 10-tackle efforts at Central State and Clark Atlanta.

Anchoring the offensive line in his first season starting, Boone (Macon, Ga.) triggered each play from the center position. The All-SIAC First Team sophomore helped the FVSU attack surge up the SIAC offensive ranks and led the Conference in scoring at 32.8 points per game. Boone also helped the Wildcats to the top passing offense (298.7 yds/gm), first downs (20.5 per game), and Red Zone offense (92.3%), while it was second in total offense (341.0 yards per game).
