Shorter Bests FVSU Men’s Tennis

FORT VALLEY, Ga. – For the second time in the first week of the season, Fort Valley State battled on the home men's tennis court, but Shorter bested the home team on Friday, 7-0.

The Wildcats number two singles Henri Abrams had the top solo match as he fell 6-2 and 6-2 to the Hawks' Malik Yawar.

FVSU's second doubles team of Maciah Dawson and Tyrone Goss made a good showing in a 6-3 defeat to Benjamin Ginter and Kiran Devaa Namandeva of Shorter.

The FVSU will have a week off before it hosts Morehouse College next Saturday, Feb. 16, in back-to-back matches at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
