FVSU’s Coach Sherrill Takes Part in Head Coach Executive Leadership Academy

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Wildcats will have an even better men's basketball leader for the 2019-20 season. Fort Valley State head coach Mark Sherrill took part in the two-day Head Coaches Executive Leadership Academy in Atlanta this past week.

"The Head Coaches Executive Leadership Academy was truly an awesome experience for me to attend," explained Sherrill. "It impacted my knowledge to bring even more wealth back to my program and the University. It goes with my coaching philosophy in developing winning ways as I prepare my program to strive for championships."

At the event, the guest speakers included this long list:
Amanda Butler - Clemson Head Women's Basketball Coach
Manor Watsa - CEO of Point Guard College.
TJ Tosene - Coach and trainer/ motivation speaker.
Kevin Eastman – long-time NBA Coach with Boston Celtics, LA Clippers and Author.
Thursday speakers were:
Lin Dunn - WNBA Championship Coach and currently advisor to Head Coach at University of Kentucky.
Dr. Mari Ross- Alexander - Sports mental health professional.
Coach Betsy Butterick – The Coaches' Coach & Communication Specialist
Coach Carlette Patterson – Patterson Sports Ventures
