The Wildcats' Zachary Boggs long trey went off the far side of the rim and pulled in by K'Viontae Williams, whose put back was blocked to end the visitors' game-tying attempt.

Chase Shellman's 20-point night led four double-digit Badgers scorers.

Following a Foxbrennen 3-pointer to open the game 24 seconds in, FVSU did not lead again until 12:14 later on a pair of Holloway free throws to make it 22-20. The first half remained no more than a 6-point margin until the Wildcats took a tight, 41-40, edge to half.

FVSU came out of the half strong and went out to the game's largest margin of nine, 54-45, on another Foxbrennen triple at 17:19 left. The Wildcats led 60-49 at 14:01, before the Badgers edged their way back to even, 64-64, in the next four-minute stretch.
