Wildcats' Fitzpatrick Talks with HBCU Softball

FORT VALLEY, Ga. -- In the midst of what was becoming a very solid freshman season, Destiny Fitzpatrick, her Fort Valley State softball team and the rest of the collegiate softball and sports world came to a halt in mid-March.

Fitzpatrick hit .333 with 13 hits in 39 at bats over her first 15 games. She rated second on the team with three doubles and eight RBI, while third in on-base percentage (.422) and fourth in slugging percentage (.410). Destiny posted four two-hit games and scored four runs.
