COLUMBIA, S.C. – After taking both home matches last week, the Wildcats kept the momentum rolling to begin this week on the road. Fort Valley State completed the women's volleyball sweep of Allen University, 3-0, and posted its season-best third win in a row Monday night.

The Wildcats (8-13/3-11 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference East) used long runs in each of the three sets combined with 14 service aces to lead to the victory. FVSU scored seven of the final nine points to break open a match tied at 18, for a 25-20 opening set. Allen (5-14) started the second set with a 5-1 edge, but the visitors scored eight in a row, 10 of 11 and 14 of the next 16 points to burst ahead 15-7 on the way to a 25-19 final. The Wildcats used runs of five and six points in a row to open a 16-7 third-set advantage and led 18-11 before Bianca Haslett and Syraih Wint combined for a tandem block as the final of seven-straight points and 25-11 set win.

Haslet led all FVSU hitters with 10 kills to go with four aces, two digs and a block. Wint hit .400 with seven kills and one error in 15 attacks along with two blocks, an ace and one dig.
