3/30/2021 12:40:00 PM

FORT VALLEY, Ga. – The Wildcats successfully returned to the gridiron last Saturday. Fort Valley State first-year head coach Maurice Flowers sat down Tuesday afternoon and talked about the game, his team and his first coaching win.

On Saturday, Flowers' Wildcats took the opening possession, drove the field and found pay dirt for a touchdown. FVSU opened a 10-0 lead in the first quarter, but it took a dominating final 15 minutes where it outscored the host Shorter University, 19-0, to complete the 36-18 victory.
