FORT VALLEY, Ga. – The Wildcats tied Sunday's match after two sets, but they could not keep the momentum. After splitting the first two sets, Edward Waters claimed the third and fourth editions and slipped past Fort Valley State men's volleyball, 3-1.

In a tight first opening set, the Tigers recorded the final point for a 25-23 win. Tied at 23 in set number two, the Wildcats (4-10) took advantage of two visitor miscues for a 25-23 victory. Edward Waters went out to a 20-10 third set lead and won 25-12, before it built another lead in the fourth set of a 25-18 final.

Oshane Farquharson downed his season-best 17 kills in hitting .344 with nine digs and a block. Jamil Scott had double-digits with 10 kills and an ace. Rashaun Wright added eight kills and two blocks, while Jaxson Hicks hit seven kills, five digs and two blocks. Justin Yates handed out 46 assists and Schadrac Metayer dug nine attacks.

FVSU will be off until next Saturday, March 26, when it hosts UCLA in a 6 p.m. match.
