FVSU Football Holds Steady at No. 4 in HBCU DII Coaches Poll

FORT VALLEY, Ga. – The Wildcats posted a fourth victory last weekend and saw their ranking remain the same. Behind its first 4-0 start in almost two decades, Fort Valley State football held steady at No. 4 in the HBCU D2 Coaches Poll sponsored by BOXTOROW Sports released Tuesday.

After claiming a 44-27 road win over Bluefield State, FVSU gained 17 more points than the previous week to 142 points and held on to its No. 4 spot, still third highest of any Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference members.

FVSU hosts No. 3 Benedict College this Saturday, October 1, in a 2 p.m. kick-off at Wildcat Stadium.
