FORT VALLEY, Ga. – A breakthrough year in emerging on the Wildcats court. Fort Valley State women's volleyball defeated Agnes Scott, 3-1, on the road Tuesday evening and posted its milestone 10^th victory of the season.

With the win (25-16, 13-25, 25-21, 25-18), FVSU reaches double-digit wins for the first time in 15 seasons. The Wildcats improved to 10-9 on the season and the 10^th victory is the first double figure total since the program recorded a 19-14 campaign in the fall of 2008.

FVSU used a balanced stat sheet to reach the new victory level. Morgan Hebert downed eight kills to lead the offense along with three assists and three digs. The trio of Laila Hilton, Hallea Gibbs (who had seven digs) and Nia Mack each hit seven winners.

Laiani McCullough handed out 31 assists while she had three kills, 12 digs, three aces and a block. Syraih Wint added two aces and seven digs, while libero Nakaia Berekley dug 11 attacks and Kaila Copeland served a team-high four aces.

FVSU returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 11, in the HPE Arena for a 6 p.m. match against Clark Atlanta.
