Wildcats' Lowe Repeats as SIAC Men's Basketball Newcomer of the Week

ATLANTA, Ga. – It has become a regular honor for this Wildcat! Fort Valley State's Myson Lowe earned his fifth and second in a row of being named the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Newcomer of the Week.

In the Wildcats lone game last Saturday, Lowe pumped in 19 points, three 3-pointers, four rebounds and a steal. The sophomore guard posted 14 of those points in the game-deciding second half, including putting in five of the team's 7-0 spurt to open the second 20 minutes where FVSU would never trail the final 18:43.

In 27 games, the Atlanta, Ga., native averages 12.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. He leads the Wildcats with 54 treys and a .833 free throw percentage (60 of 72).

Lowe and FVSU completes the regular season schedule tonight in a 7:30 p.m. contest against Savannah State in the HPE Arena.
