FORT VALLEY, Ga. – After playing a long five-set match Friday night, the Wildcats could not get going on Saturday afternoon. Lincoln Memorial University powered past Fort Valley State, 3-0, in men's volleyball.

Following tough opening-set losses (9-25, 10-25), the Wildcats (3-10) play better in the third set and held a 9-8 lead on a Jose Gallardo setter kill. Lincoln Memorial (11-4) posted the next four points and went on to close out the match, 15-25.

Oshane Farquharson paced FVSU with six kills and four digs. Rashaun Wright added three kills, four blocks and an ace. Gallardo handed out eight assists and a block to go with his kill.

Shay Spadaro downed eight winners for the Railsplitters.

FVSU will off until it travels to face Central State next Friday evening (March 3) in a 6 p.m. match.
