FORT VALLEY, Ga. – For the first opponent this season, the Wildcats take a second match from an opponent. Fort Valley State made quick work of Morehouse College and completed the season sweep, 3-0, in men's volleyball Thursday evening.

FVSU (6-16/3-3 SIAC) turned a 7-6 opening set lead into a 12-6 score and eventual 22-10 lead on the way to a 25-12 win. The Maroon Tigers (0-14/0-7 SIAC) held tough in set number two and held a 20-18 advantage late before the home team took seven of the final eight points for the 25-21 score. FVSU netted the first six points of the third set and never looked back to end the match, 25-13.

Jaxon Hicks led all offensive players with 10 kills with two errors in 15 attacks (.571). He also had eight digs, two assists and an ace. Both Taviian Martin, who did it with a .571 hit percentage, and Isaiah Fedd added nine winners apiece. Martin also had five blocks. Jacquee Taylor chipped in six kills, two aces and three digs. Jose Gallardo handed out 26 assists and two aces.

Deyn Hardwick led Morehouse with five kills, six assists, nine digs and an ace.

FVSU is now off until it hosts Kentucky State next Wednesday, April 5, in a 6 p.m. first serve.
