Wildcats Take Care of Thorobreds Men’s Volleyball

FORT VALLEY, Ga. – The Wildcats put together three-straight sets Wednesday evening. Fort Valley State took care of Kentucky State on the men's volleyball court, 3-0, in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action.
 
Leading 16-15 in the opening set, FVSU (7-16/4-3 SIAC) ran off the next eight points on its way to the 25-16 win. The Wildcats raced out to a 14-4 lead in set number two before they claimed a 25-11 final. Holding a 15-14 edge in set three, FVSU finished off Kentucky State with the next seven of eight points on the way to a 25-20 final.
 
Jaxon Hicks led the home attack with 10 kills, eight digs and three blocks. Isaiah Fedd downed nine kills, three aces and four digs. Jacquee Taylor chipped in eight kills with only one error in 13 attacks (.538) and added six digs. Justin Yates handed out 26 assists and Jamil Scott dug 10 attacks.
 
Trent Findley led the Thorobreds with seven kills.
 
FVSU returns right back to action tomorrow night (April 6) for a 6 p.m. matchup against Central State.
