FVSU's Wilson Runs over Bengals in Packers Debut

CINCINNATI -- The Wildcat All-American looks like he likes to play for the team from the land of cheese. Fort Valley State alum Emanuel Wilson helped the Green Bay Packers run over the Cincinnati Bengals, 36-19, in his National Football League debut in the Preseason Opener.

Wilson, who earned the 2022 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year after he ran for over 1,371 yards and 17 touchdowns last season, took the Packers' offensive handoffs six times Friday night for 111 yards (18.5-yard per attempt) and touchdown runs of 80 and 11 yards.

Wilson and the Packers take the field for their second game next Saturday night, Aug. 19, in an 8 p.m. EDT meeting with the New England Patriots.
