Williams Tabbed SIAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week

ATLANTA, Ga. – For the first time in recent seasons, the Wildcats gain some weekly conference attention. Fort Valley State's Montana Williams was tabbed the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors.

Williams bested the field by 23.9 seconds last Friday morning for first place in the inaugural Wildcat Opener. She finished the 5K race in 25:20.2 over the slow and wet course at Camp John Hope down the road from the FVSU campus.

Williams and the Wildcat runners return to action this Friday, Sept. 22, in a 5 p.m. start time at West Georgia's Gary Wilson Invitational.
