Wildcats XC Competes at Gary Wilson Invite

CARROLLTON, Ga. – For the second time this fall, the Wildcats toed the starting line. Fort Valley State women's cross country competed Friday evening in West Georgia's Gary Wilson Invitational.

Senior Montana Williams, again, led the FVSU effort as she finished 13^th in the field for a 5K time of 25:46.55.

In the team standings, host West Georgia posted a shutout score of 15. Tuskegee, Clark Atlanta and FVSU followed with team scores of 61, 72 and 96.

After Williams, Katelynn Hodges crossed the line second for the Wildcats in 30:15.08 (20^th). Haneefet Adanijo and Jenna Jones were back-to-back for the team in 23^rd (31:47.9) and 24^th (32:11.22). Naliya Mallory rounded out the FVSU runners in 29^th (39:40.35).

Both FVSU cross country teams return to action next Saturday, Sept. 30, at the Clayton State Invite.
