ATLANTA, Ga. – Fort Valley State University men's basketball guard Aidan Lambert has been named the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Newcomer of the Week, marking the first conference honor of his career.

Lambert was instrumental in the Wildcats' two victories this past week, totaling a team-high 50 points. He shot an efficient 19-for-36 (52.7%) from the field, connected on 7-of-13 (53.8%) attempts from three-point range, and went 5-for-6 (83.3%) at the free-throw line. Averaging a double-double on the week, Lambert also pulled down 19 rebounds while scoring in double figures in both contests. He rounded out his performance with four steals, three assists, and one blocked shot.

The Wildcats return to action after the new year, hosting Allen University on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, at 4 p.m.
