ATLANTA, Ga.- Leah Leonard and Tenison Myricks of Fort Valley State University softball bring home Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) weekly awards. 

Third baseman, Leonard was named conference Player of the Week after swinging the hot stick through six contests. She was a .300 hitter with five runs scored, four RBI and two multi-base knocks in a home run and a double. Leonard had two standout performances the first was a 2-for-4 outing against Allen University where she scored twice and drove a run in on a double. Leonard also showed out against Edward Waters Universtiy going 2-for-3 with a round trip blast. 

In the circle, Myricks nabbed the Pitcher of the Week title after throwing lights out. She tossed 17 innings with 25 strikeout victims. Myricks only allowed four runs to score, only three of which were earned, on seven hits. Her most impressive outing was a complete game against Allen with her season high of 10 strikeouts. Later in the series, she three three hitless innings with four strikeouts.
