ATLANTA, Ga.- Fort Valley State University Men's Basketball's Hassane Diallo earned the 2024-25 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Defnesive Player of the Year, Wednesday morning. 

Diallo started all 28 contests this season. He had a stellar defensive front for the duration of the season. He nabbed 177 rebounds with 120 coming on the defensive side of the ball. Diallo was second in the SIAC and also led the team in blocked shots with an impressive 42 on the year. He also tallied 22 steals. 

Diallo did not just contribute on defense but had a good season on offense as well. By the end of the season he banked 293 points, 10.5 per game, coming from a 51.3 shooting percentage from the field. He also tallied a 66.3 percentage from the free throw line.
