CARROLLTON, Ga.- Fort Valley State University men's and women's track & field both finish in the top 10 at the Legends Invitational hosted by the University of West Georgia. The women finished in seventh with 39.5 points. The men finished in tenth with 27 points.
The Wildcat women secured four top three finishes. On the track side of the meet
Briana Madison added yet another first place finish to her superb season with a 14.69s time in the 100 meter hurdles. On the field side of the event,
Diamond Richardson kept shining securing a first place finish in discus with a 44.06 meter mark. She also added a third place finish in hammer throw with 45.80 meter mark and a third place finish in shot put with a 13.07 meter mark.
On the men's side
Cornelius Cooks II was the top finisher with a fourth place finish in the 100m and a fifth place finish in the 200m. He finished with a 10.62s time in the 100m and a 21.77s time in the 200m.
The Wildcats are back in action on Saturday, April 12th for a meet at Albany State University.
