ATLANTA, Ga.- Fort Valley State University quarterback Don Hudson Jr. has been honored as the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Newcomer of the Week after a standout performance in the pocket.

Hudson Jr. showcased his dual-threat ability vs. Clark Atlanta University, completing 21-of-26 passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns, while also leading the ground game with 141 rushing yards on 21 carries. His balanced attack kept the offense moving and proved instrumental in FVSU's effort.

The Wildcats will be back in action this week, hosting their first home game of the season on Saturday, Sept. 20, at 3 p.m. vs. Delta State inside Wildcat Stadium.
