Fort Valley State's Jasmin Stewart has been named the SIAC Player of the Week after a standout stretch at the plate and a flawless performance behind the dish for the Wildcats.
Stewart paced the Fort Valley offense, collecting 8 hits in 15 at-bats for an impressive .533 batting average, while driving in 11 RBIs across five games. Her production included a double and a triple, along with multiple multi-hit performances that helped spark the Wildcats offensively throughout the week.
Defensively, Stewart was equally dominant at catcher, recording 32 putouts and one assist while maintaining a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. Her consistent play on both sides of the ball played a key role in Fort Valley State's competitiveness during the week.
Stewart's all-around performance highlights her impact as a leader for the Wildcats and earned her well-deserved recognition from the SIAC.
