COLUMBUS, Ga-Fort Valley State delivered a strong all-around performance to secure a 3–1 victory over Miles College, using timely hitting and steady defense to control the game from start to finish.

The Wildcats struck early, as Amira Johnson drove in the game's first run with a double in the opening inning before adding another RBI later to lead the offense. Darianna Sosa provided a key spark with a solo home run in the second, extending the advantage and giving Fort Valley State early momentum.

Despite Miles College pushing across a run in the second inning, the Wildcats responded and held firm defensively. Danielle Bacon led the effort in the circle, limiting scoring opportunities while the defense consistently made plays in key moments to shut down any late threats.

Fort Valley State's balanced attack and composed pitching ultimately sealed the win, showcasing the team's ability to capitalize early and protect the lead down the stretch.
