Fort Valley State University junior defensive back Brian Walker has been selected in week ten of the football season as SIAC Defensive Player of the Week, respectively. It is the first honor of the season for Walker and the seventh honor for the Wildcats football team.
  
Walker, a native of Cairo, GA (Cairo High School) had an outstanding game for the Wildcats as he had 11 tackles (10 solo), forced one fumble, one INT and one pass break-up.
