Box Score FORT VALLEY, GA (September 10, 2016) – Fort Valley State University Lady Wildcats (1-0) win the season opener in volleyball over Brewton Parker College (0-1) in 3-2 (25-16, 19-25, 25-23, 15-25, 13-15) in five sets at the HPE Complex.
 
Junior middle blocker Justice Stegall had 10 kills, two blocks and four block assist in her outing, while junior outside hitter Maya Stewart added 10 kills, two assist, four service ace, 11 digs and one block. Freshman setter Rita Davis, senior outside hitter Raymee Johnson and junior middle blocker Ayauna Ellis had five kills each and freshman middle hitter Ashaunti Brown put up four kills. Davis led the team with 15 assist.
 
Brewton Parker Autumn Beasley led her team with 13 kills and 18 digs.
 
Next game: FVSU travels to Macon, GA on Saturday, September 17 to play Weslyan College at 1 pm and Toccoa Falls College at 6 pm.
