FORT VALLEY, GA – After canceling Fort Valley State University men's and women's tennis teams' season opener with Shorter College, the Wildcats finally got their chance to host the Maroon Tigers of Morehouse College on Wednesday. The match started at 12 noon.
 
FVSU's Christian Boyd and Micaiah Dawson started with doubles play, losing 8-0 to Everett Reese and Justin Samfles of the Maroon Tigers. Ralph Kelly and Henri Abrams dropped the second double match 8-3 to MHC's Rasheed Slade and Terrell Green.
 
Christian Boyd dropped his single match to Everett Reese (6-4, 1-6, 6-3), Miciah Dawson lost (6-0, 6-2,) to Justin Samfles. Ralph Kelly went down to Zika Peddie (6-0, 6-1) and Henri Abrams a (6-0, 6-3) loss.
 
The Wildcats will travel to Americus, Ga., on Friday, February 17 to play Georgia Southwestern State University in a 2 pm match.
