ATLANTA, GA – Freshman Brishon Bridges of the Fort Valley State University Lady Wildcats Tennis Team has been named Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Women's Co-Player of the Week, as announced by the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for its women's tennis for the week of March 19.
Bridges (2-2) from Buena Vista, Georgia (Marion County High School) picked up the only win for the Lady Wildcats during the week. After FVSU's loss at Georgia Southwestern State three weeks ago, she responded with a win at the No. 3 singles spot this past weekend when the Lady Wildcats' hosted GSW in a rematch. In the match, Bridges defeated Georgia Southwestern's Kendall Crew 6-4 and 7-6.
