FVSU Women’s Tennis Defeats Lemoyne-Owen at SIAC Roundup

FORT VALLEY, Ga. – For the second time in the weekend, the Fort Valley State women's tennis team defeated Lemoyne-Owen by a 5-1 final on Saturday.

Tynecia Smith breezed to a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at second singles, while Imani Wainwright had a strong showing of 10-1 in a super set fourth singles and she teamed with Brishon Bridges for a 6-4 second doubles victory.

The FVSU women return to action next Saturday, March 2, in an 11 a.m. match at Georgia Southwestern.
