FVSU Women’s Tennis Battled ASU in Pair Wednesday

FORT VALLEY, Ga. – In the lone home match of the season, the Wildcats had their own version of a doubleheader on Wednesday. Fort Valley State battled, but it came up short in both women's tennis matches against rival Albany State by 7-0 scores.

In the early morning matchup, Jordynn Middlebrooks put up the biggest FVSU fight with a 3-6 and 2-6 final at number four singles against Allyah Williams. Samaar Davis came close to equaling the result as she fell 3-6 and 1-6 for second singles to Asia Raulerson.

For the afternoon meeting, Valerie Dorelein took three sets against Raulerson (2-6 and 1-6) at second singles. Avery Harris had the same final score versus Bianca Leao.

FVSU will have over a week off before it heads to the SIAC Roundup #2 hosted by Benedict College over March 30-
