FORT VALLEY, Ga. – The Wildcats returned to the court on Thursday. Fort Valley came up short as Albany State prevailed, 7-0, in women's tennis at Wildcat Courts.
In singles play, FVSU's Avery Harris, Jordynn Middlebrooks and Samaar Davis played their ASU opponents tough. At top singles, Harris fell to the Lady Rams' Natalya Ogunwale by identical 6-3 and 6-3 scores. Middleboorks was a tough out for Carla Sorroche in a 2-6 and 4-6 final. Davis fell in a tight second second at third singles to Jonay Brittain by set finals of 1-6 and 4-6.
Davis and Harris dropped a close second doubles final against Brittain and Sorroche by a 4-6 score.
FVSU returns to action on Friday afternoon (March 15) in a 1 p.m. match at Georgia Southwestern.
