COLUMBUS, GA (October 9, 2013) – Fort Valley State University Lady Wildcats volleyball team went down in defeat 0-3 (10-25, 15-25, 16-25) to Columbus State University at Lumpkin Center on Tuesday, October 9, 2013 before a crowd of 150.

FVSU overall record is 5-20 and 5-6 in the SIAC, while Columbus State improves to 11-6.

Junior middle blocker Briana Shepherd (Birmingham, AL) led the team with 4 kills, 1 assist, 1 serve ace, 6 digs and 1 block assist, while junior setter Archie Megan had 3 kills and 7 digs.

Columbus State was led by Mary McCarty with 11 kills and Ivana Kazic added 23 assist.

The Lady Wildcats next game is Tuesday, October 15 in Atlanta, GA against the Lady Panthers of Clark Atlanta University at 6 pm.
