Gibbs Earns Wildcat Nation Female Athlete of the Week Honors

With three double-digit kill matches and two coming in Fort Valley State victories, Hallea Gibbs of the women's volleyball team is the Wildcat Female Athlete of the Week sponsored by Wildcat Nation for Sept. 18-24.

After she pounded 15 kills to go with nine digs against Georgia College to start the week, the senior downed 23 kills, dug 25 digs and served three aces in a comeback win over LeMoyne-Owen. She also posted 15 kills, eight digs and two aces in the five-set victory over Tuskegee.

For the week's six matches, Gibbs totaled 60 kills, 33 digs, five aces and a block.

Gibbs and the Wildcats return to action tonight, Sept. 28, in a 5 p.m. home match against Wesleyan College.
