Hall of Fame
During Dawsey’s years at Fort Valley State College under legendary Stan Lomax, he would play on two SIAC championship teams in 1970 and 1971. He would go on to rack up many individual awards in football, baseball, and track and field; such as ALL SIAC in baseball as a 3rd baseman, first team ALL SIAC in football as a running back in1970.
Dawsey would leave FVSC and work in local, state, and federal government for over 32 years, retiring in 2007. During his Air Force Civilian career, he earned many honors, including Air Force Civilian and supervisor of the year on several occasions.
He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Fort Valley State College (University), received his certified Community Development credentials from the University Vinson School of Business. Dr. K. Daniel Dawsey is currently the Pastor of Central Union Baptist Church in Fort Valley, Ga.
